Roles and adminstrators

In general

Administrators in Accessy can have a few different roles. These will determine what options you will have in the left menu. These are the current roles available:

Organization administrator - aimed at administering the setup of the organization. This role is allowed to handle:
  1. Settings of the organization
  2. Users in the organization
  3. Membership requests
  4. Delegation trust

Asset administrator - aimed at configuring assets. This role is allowed to handle:
  1. Assets in the organization
  2. Publish assets to other organizations

Real estate administrator - will handle configuration and labelling of real estate, including:
  1. Real estate
  2. Buildings
  3. Floors
  4. Rooms

Device administrator - for handling configuration regarding integrations to connected devices controlled by your organization. This role is allowed to handle:
  1. Devices
  2. Device providers (integration module)
  3. Device provider type (template for integration modules)

Delegator - will give the right to:
  1. Grant access to users in the organisation - both regarding the organizations own assets as well as assets that other organizations have published to you.
  2. Approve or deny access requests to assets in the organisation
  3. Administer access groups
  4. View access list for assets
  5. View log of access to an assett (i.e. who has been using access and when)
  6. Show granted guess access (currently managed through 3rd-party software)

If you're missing any role, please turn to your organization administrator. As an organization administrator, you can assign roles to both yourself and other appointed users. Read more below.


Assigning and removing roles

To assign or remove a roler from a user, click on "Users" in the left menu and then click on the user in question. You'll then be able to check or uncheck roles for that user. Don't forget to his the save button!

Please note: the role "Organization administrator" has the right to assign all roles to other users, including him or herself.
